Book Review:
“One of us is Lying” is one of the best thriller books I have come across so far. You don’t feel like keeping this book down. It’s literally like an edge of the seat thriller movie.
The story revolves around the lives of 5 school students who are connected by strings even they are not aware of. The plot starts when all 5 of them are found together in detention and all of them have the same reason for being there; a cell in their backpacks. The plot thickens when no one knows how those cell phones came in their bags as they don’t belong to them. And then suddenly, all hell breaks loose on them. 5 came in, but only 4 left. Yes, one of them dies in detention.
Each of the remaining 4 has reasons and motives to murder the dead kid, but no one knows who it could be. And the question arises, was someone’s motive so strong that they could actually do it?
It’s a really interesting plot and it dives deep into the lives of each of its characters. The writer does a phenomenal job of writing individual chapters for incidences from every character’s point of view. Overall, it's a great book, and if you like a good edge of the seat thriller movie, then definitely do check this book out.
Happy Reading.
