Book Review:
Trevor Noah is one of the funniest people on the planet right now. Not only is he doing a great job as the host of The Daily Show, but he is also genuinely providing some great information.
Being a host of a show generally means the host is going to be interacting with celebs and playing games and stuff. Trevor Noah, while doing all this, is telling and alerting the people about the pandemic and other issues that are going around the globe in detail, which I feel is commendable.
This influencing personality that Trevor has comes from the way he was raised, and the things that he has seen. In this book, Trevor discusses exactly that. He has gone in great detail to share every tiny and minute detail from his childhood.
Going from how his mother raised him in a time when being a colored kid was a crime to what his education looked like. Trevor has covered every page in his life and told how it has added its flavor to his personality.
Born to a mother who believed in hard work and not taking favors from anyone, Trevor learned from an early age to be self-dependent. He used his wits and skills to start a lot of interesting businesses in his childhood.
Going from a situation where you survived with the cheapest foods available to being a multi-millionaire, Trevor has come a long way. His perspective on life and the way he handles situations comes from the beautiful prospective and things his mother taught him as a child.
This is a nice light-headed read with some really beautiful messages and bonds in it. Do check it out. If possible, try the audiobook. Trevor does a great job of imitating the voices of a variety of characters in his life.
Happy Reading.
